Prestigious earthen dam project under VIDC including spillway, stilling basin, divide wall, approach and tail channel. The earthen dam across river Purna (tributary of the Tapi) has a total length of 7,680 m and supports flood control and water supply for drinking, irrigation and industry — especially for development of the Vidarbha region.
